best way to enjoy Moscow before the match

Hello All
Dublin red here hope a few of you can speak English as my Russian is Zero.A few of us are going over next week and would like to know what is the best plan of action go to the stadium or go into your beautiful City.But all I here is story's that or not good,This surly can not be true.

Niallm06, hello and welcome! Of course, there are lots of beautiful places you can see at Moscow. I'll tell you a little about the most famous ones and tell you how to get to the stadium.

The most famous place in Moscow is Kremlin (Kreml'). It is situated in the center of the City. It was some kind of a Castle in aincent times, now it's the president's residency. Also there are many museums and beautiful churches in it. So you should go there if you want to learn more about russian culture.

After finishing your visit to Kremlin, you can walk across the most famous squares in Moscow - Red Square (Krasnaja Ploschad') and Manezhnaya Square. The first one is a historic place - Military parades are held there every year, and Lenin's mausoleum is situated there. And Manezhnaya square is an entertaining place - there's a big shopping center there and lots of cafes and restoraunts.

When you finish your sightseeing of Moscow's center, you can visit Bobby Dazzler - the best pub for Man United fan. You can go there by metro. The station near Kremlin is called "Biblioteka imeni Lenina". From that station you should move on via red line to the station "Chistie Prudi". Than find your way to Bobby Dazzler using the map from their official website

The best way to go to Luzhniki Stadium is also by metro. Once again you should use red line, now go on different direction - to station "Sportivnaya". But I'd reccomend you to go one station futher - to "Vorobyevi Gori". If you go there, you can visit Sparrow Hill - a place, where you can see a beautiful Moscow panorama. The stadium is very close from that place, so you can walk there on foot and then watch our reds trashing the rentboys ;)

Thanks for that supersonic. Looking forward to seeing red square and the kremlin.bobby Dazzlers sounds where we will be goin before game is it a big place?. Can you get a bus from airpot into Moscow or do we have to get a Cab?

Niallm06, yes, Bobby Dazzler is an offical pub of Moscow Man United fans. I think, you'd love to visit it. As for the airport - it depends on which airport you are arriving to. If you arrive to Vnukovo or Domodedovo - you can get into Moscow by train. If you arrive to Sheremetyevo - you can get to Moscow only by bus or cab. Anyway, I'm sure that the goverment will place an extra transport for all the fans coming to Moscow.

We arrive into Sheremetyevo bout 12 midday.Is it far into moscow from here?, Also how safe is it to use the metro have heard some bad stroys, Again Supersonic thanks for all your help.

Niallm06, it's not that far, but you can waste a lot of time if you get stuck in the traffic jam, that are usual thing for Leningradskoe highway. As for metro - I can't see anything strange there. The only problem for you is the thing that all the names there are written in Russian. Our metro is very beautiful - especially the central stations. And don't believe all the strange stories about Moscow - it's a usual european capitol - just like London or Paris. There are no drunk bears with balalaikas running down the streets, it's not cold here all year long. This final is a great chance for our city to break all the old stereotypes surrounding our country, so it will be great if the whole world will see our country from the different side.

Niallm06, i don't think it's possible. As far as I know, all tickets are sold out. And even if they are still there, you have to be One United member (I'm not) and have an oppotunity to collect them from the club's office, they don't send them out. But I still hope to watch the game with the thousands of reds, if the screens are installed in the center of the city.

They are not sold out yet.My friend was on to them today put like yourself not a One Utd member You should sign up on the internet They will post it out to you for a fee think it is 15 sterling.But to Moscow it could be more.They can send it out by DHL.Worth a go.
