sarkans, well, I thought that our forum has english interface, but seems like I was wrong. I asked our admin to create english forums for all our english speaking friends, but he said, that there's no need for that. So I hope, that some of our members will sonn register on your board and provide you with all the information you need. As for room, unfortunately, my room is too small, so I don't think it will be possible to spare it with anyone. Maybe, someone else will help you.

sarkans, most of the bad things that you've heard about Moscow are wrong. Moscow is a usual european capital, just like London or Paris. You may have some problems with the police (here it is called Milicia) but only if you behave yourself too badly. Don't drink on the streets, don't get into conflicts with Chelsea fans and you'll be fine.

The thing about hooligans is also not as scary as you may think. Today it's fashionably among russian football fans to look like english hooligans of 70s- 80s. They wear the clothes in casual style (Fred Perry, Stone Island, etc), listen to Ska and Oi music and support nationalistic ideas. But only a very few of them are real hooligans. And I'm sure, they'll make you no harm.

The thing about Chelsea fans is unfortunately true. Since Abramovich bought Chelsea, this club became the most popular english team in Russia. They say that Chelsea is a russian club, I was never able to understand this statement because all the money that Abramovich has was stolen from russian people during economic reforms in the 90s. It's a luck for him, that he is still not in prison. I think that he is still free because he pays the salary to our national team coach, Hiddink, and also his company bulids football pitches for young footballers around the country. Additionally many people support Chelsea because of Shevchenko - even though he is ukranian, he has many fans in Russia that had supported AC Milan because of him and now support Chelsea because of him. Also a huge propagation was held in Russia to give Chelsea a status of a great club with a famous history. It's funny that Chelsea's nickname in Russia is "The aristocrats". As far as I know, they were never called like this in England.

So it all means that the most part of Luzhniki (not a nice arena for football watching btw) will be coloured in blue colours. But still there will be lots of reds. Our fanbase is very strong and it has a much longer history, than Chelsea's one. Unfortunately, only a few of our board's members will go to the final. But I hope that the big screens will be installed in the center of the city, so all the people who will not be able to go to the stadium will watch the game there. There you'll see the real power of russian reds.

To sum it up - I wish you pleasent stay in Moscow. Don't believe the media and old sterotypes- Moscow is a nice city which has a lot of common with all the big european capitals. And we're proud that United can make the history here. Of course, it's difficult to get here, but I'm sure, you'll enjoy your stay here. The weather now is warm and pleasent, I hope it will remain the same until the final. And I'm sure you'll find a lot of interesting places to visit in Moscow before the game.

if you will get in trouble with Moscow police some money can solve your problems, at least if you will try to pay it won’t be worse. But I don’t think that something will happen, because LC Final is a good chance for Moscow government to improve reputation on international arena. So police will be given order to be careful and calm. Just don’t behave too aggressive

Can't understand myself why Chelsea are so popular with the Russian people. Like you say, money stolen from the Russian people and used to buy a foreign football team. Why didn't he buy a Russian team instead?

As for Chelsea's nickname, nobody knows them as 'The Aristocrats' in Britain. They are now known as the 'Rentboys' which, if you don't know, is a young male prostitute who will do whatever the man wants so long as he pays him enough money!

sarkans, he has some actives in hockey club Avangard and FC CSKA Moscow. But he wants to get worldwide popularity, so that's why he bought Chelsea.

And I know that the Chelsea is called the rentboys. They are also called "The Pensioners". The most funny thing is that nearly everyone here thinks that Chelsea FC belongs to elite Chelsea district. But I know that Stamford Bridge is situated in Fulham district. That's how Roman's PR works.
